FEAR - THIEF OF DREAMS
Far too often, the fear of the unknown, the fear of doing something not exactly right, the fear of something new steals away our dreams.
Don't let this happen to you!
SPSH was featured in a major article in the Sparks Tribune in 2007. We are about horses and the people who ride them. Age is of no concern. We have 12 year olds and 56 year olds turning 18 second full course barrels. One of our students won the 4H State Speed Events at their 2007 finals. Bill won 2008 AQHA Imagine what we can do for you!!!
You are a phone call away from being something you have always dreamed of: an equestrian.
Who We Are:
Betty Jo Haass is a long time professional barrel racer. Putting herself through college on the barrel racing circuit, she has "been there" and has certainly "done that". Two of her horses have won national honors. Trained, in part, by Richard Shrake, her outstanding professional techniques are only surpassed by her knowledge of horses and the people riding them. Bill Haass roped in high school, then rode horses in numerous assignments in his many years in Army Special Forces. In 2006, trained by Betty Jo and in his first year of gymkhana club-type competition, he won top honors in WNHA, a local gymkhana club who caters to youth and younger riders and those riders with very little experience in gymkhana events. Bill also won Barrels at the 2008 Region 7 AQHA event in Reno on American Money, the same horse seen in Betty Jo's photo on this page.
Bill has been selected as the NV01 Regional Director for National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA).
